Online Counselling
Although counselling and psychotherapy is traditionally delivered in person, it can just as successfully be delivered using video conferencing. Online therapy is almost identical to face-to-face therapy and for some people provides the advantage of ease of access and convenience.
I offer online therapy using technology including Zoom, FaceTime and Skype, which are considered secure videoconferencing technologies. I can also work over the phone.
If you would like to work with me online, here are a few points you might want to consider if you want to access therapy this way:
- You will need a good, stable internet connection for the length of your session
- Ideally, have a few connection options available - such as wifi and data, and different options of apps - such as Skype or Zoom, to allow for technical difficulties.
- It is best if you are comfortable working online and familiar with the technology you are using. It's good to turn off any notifications on your device for the duration of your session as these may be distracting for you
- Consider a location that is private and confidential for you.
